ABOUT LEAF TRACE / LAND TRACE AND WALK WITH US
Leaf Trace / Land Trace invites you to consider your relationship to the land through the lens of the Original Public Land Survey. What is that you say? It's a monument hidden in plain sight you will open your eyes to a key root of systemic injustice through a series of introspective meditations involving of all things, trees. I encourage you to compare notes with someone from a different background and see where the conversation goes. I hope will get you thinking about how awareness and open conversation are available as tools to support the action we must all commit to in order to work toward a just society.
Walk With Us is an international, juried show of artists who use walking as as a key component of their art practices. Look for many interesting projects in the "uncelebrated" spaces of the museum -- entryways, stairwells and odd nooks and crannies.
Learn more about Leaf Trace / Land Trace through the link in bio. Books, an essay about how I came to make the project, and links to projects taking action to right the wrongs of the Public Land Survey System are all in there. #leaftracelandtrace #publiclandsurveysystem
