Join me for a week of exploring fast and slow fashion, the facets of the fashion industry from design to patternmaking to considering our impact on the planet through our consumption of textiles. Students ages 13-17 design their own garments from scratch using patternless drafting techniques, take a field trip to Target for behind the scenes look at a top retailer, and have a visit from a local slow fashion expert and entrepreneur. Some experience on the sewing machine is a prerequisite.

Class meets at Textile Center in Minneapolis from 9-4pm each day. Register via Textile Center.
